Mike and Kathryn Stephens - Director of Children's Ministries
Mike and Kathryn Stephens were married in 1990 and have ten children between the ages of 9 and 25. They have been blessed with 2 grandchildren with a 3rd on the way! While in the Marine Corps, Mike met Kathryn at the University of Colorado and they were married less than a year later. As a result of Mike's job in software consulting, they have lived in Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and Minnesota. After years of moving for work, they have finally settled in Laramie.
Mike was raised in the Catholic Church and met the Lord after hearing a gospel presentation at a youth camp when he was 16. Kathryn was not raised in the church but gave her life to Christ at a Young Life camp when she was 17. Mike continues to work in consulting and is also currently working to finish his Master of Divinity at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary. Kathryn is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys ministering to those that the Lord leads her way. Together Mike and Kathryn have led and taught in a variety of children's ministry positions and small groups. They love children and are thrilled to be supporting the parents of Laramie Valley Chapel while teaching, praying and having fun as they learn about Jesus.
